The Embassy of Italy in Hanoi is pleased to announce that on Monday, 13 July 2026, at 6:30 p.m., “Corti e Sorsi” will take place at Casa Italia (18 Le Phung Hieu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi).
The event is part of “Fare Cinema”, an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to showcase and promote Italian cinema around the world.
During the evening, two of the five finalists for the 2026 David di Donatello Award for Best Short Film will be screened.
“Tempi supplementary”, directed by Matteo Memè, tells the story of the relationship between a father and his son, marked by tension and unresolved silence. With sensitivity and authenticity, the film explores the fragility of family bonds and the possibility of reconnecting even when words seem insufficient.
“Astronauta”, directed by Giorgio Giampà, follows Audely, a lumberjack working in the Guatemalan jungle, navigating a workplace shaped by deeply rooted masculine stereotypes. The film invites audiences to question established norms and imagine more open and inclusive spaces.
Both short films will be screened in their original language with English subtitles. Due to the language used in Astronauta, the screening is recommended for adult audiences.
The screenings will be followed by a convivial reception as part of the Sentiero diVino initiative, organized in collaboration with Viet-It Wines, Caffè Italia, and Arcadia – Le Monde Winery.
For organizational purposes, kindly confirm your attendance by emailing culturale.hanoi@esteri.it by Thursday, 9 July.
