Welcome to the section dedicated to consular services and visas.
Consular services are provided in accordance with the principles of equality, impartiality, efficiency, and transparency.
Italian Consulates provide protection to all Italian citizens in cases where their fundamental rights are violated or their personal freedom is restricted or deprived. They also offer assistance in emergency situations, in locating family members, handling inheritance procedures initiated abroad, and repatriating deceased persons.
For ease of navigation, the services have been divided into two sections: one for Italian citizens and one for foreign nationals.
Each menu item contains the information needed to request the specific service.
A separate section is dedicated to notices published on the Consular Register.
Opening Hours of the Consular Section.
Morning Opening Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
Afternoon Opening Hours: Wednesday: from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Please note: The consular counters are open by appointment only, except for proof-of-life certificates and electoral services.
To request consular services, you must make an appointment by emailing consolare.hanoi@esteri.it at least one week in advance.
To apply for a Schengen visa (Type C) or a National visa (Type D), you must book an appointment at the VFS Global offices in Hanoi through the following website:
