Leonardo inaugurates its representative office in Vietnam, strengthening technological cooperation in Southeast Asia

“From today, the advanced technology and experience of Leonardo, the Italian industrial leader in the high-tech sector, are officially available to Vietnam. A nation that is playing a fundamental role in the technological transformation of Southeast Asia. We hope that Leonardo’s presence in the area will foster a long and fruitful collaboration with this exceptional country, which represents a strategic market for global companies”.

With these words Stefano Pontecorvo, President of Leonardo, officially inaugurated the company’s representative office in Hanoi. In attendance were the Ambassador of Vietnam to Italy, H.E. Duong Hai Hung, and the Ambassador of Italy to Vietnam, H.E. Marco della Seta.

Leonardo is an international industrial group with over 53,000 employees worldwide, a significant industrial presence in Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland and the United States, and operates in 150 countries also through subsidiaries, joint ventures and shareholdings. A key player in major international strategic programmes, it is a technological and industrial partner of governments, institutions and companies. In 2023, Leonardo reported consolidated revenues of €15.3bn and new orders of €17.9bn.

The technology of Leonardo and its subsidiaries and affiliates is already present in Vietnam in various fields such as helicopters and space, and the company took part in the last Vietnam International Defence Expo held in Hanoi from 19 to 22 December.

The opening of the new office in Vietnam represents a further step in the strengthening of Leonardo’s presence in Asia, designed to intensify collaboration with local partners, encourage the development of new technological opportunities, and offer concrete support to the development of strategic infrastructures for the country.
