The Embassy of Italy in Hanoi is delighted to present the 9th Week of Italian Cuisine in Vietnam.
Launched in 2016 by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Week of Italian Cuisine is an annual initiative taking place worldwide to celebrate the essence of Italian culinary heritage, emphasizing its values, flavors, and cultural significance. The theme for this year’s edition is “Mediterranean Diet and Cuisine of the Roots: Health and Tradition,” highlighting the Mediterranean diet as a model for healthy and sustainable eating.
With a focus on forging synergies between Vietnam and Italy, several events will take place in Hanoi to foster dialogue between the two nations’ culinary practices, creating meaningful connections through workshops, tasting events, artistic exhibitions and gastronomical festivals. The program of the 9th Week of Italian Cuisine in Hanoi will include:
– Taste of Italy exhibition of Italian products, organized by the Italian Trade Agency in cooperation with MM Megamarket wholesale retailer

– Authentic Italian Food, a promotional event of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) focusing on the dairy products of the “Pecorino Toscano” cheese Consortium

– The cold chain: from Italy to Vietnam, a workshop on cold chain technologies and their development potential in Vietnam, organized in cooperation with the Italian Association of Cold Chain Technicians and the Vietnam Society of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers
Location: Casa Italia, 18 Le Phung Hieu, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi – 20 November at 15:00.
– From arancina to Bun Cha. A journey between Italy and Vietnam, a two days tasting and entertainment festival on street food cuisine, combining both Vietnamese and Italian tradition
Location: Casa Italia – 23-24 November from 10:00 to 18:00
– Scent of Italy, an artistic multi-sensorial exhibition on Italian truffle and its use in modern cuisine
Location: Casa Italia, 26 November – 8 December from 10:00 to 18:00
– Casa Italia Wine Festival 2024, an Italian wine tasting festival organized by ICHAM
Location: Casa Italia – 30 November from 10:00 to 22:00
– Enhancing organic agriculture and agroecology in Vietnam, a policy dialogue on organic farming development in Vietnam organized in cooperation with the FAO mission in Vietnam
