The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Italian Republic, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, sent to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Pham Binh Minh, the following message of condolences after the attack in Egypt, in which Vietnamese citizens were involved:
“Dear colleague
I wish to send you the most sincere condolences, mine and on behalf of the Italian Government, for the horrible terrorist act that involved some Vietnamese tourists in Egypt, near the Pyramids of Giza. My thoughts go to the victims, the injured and their families. Italy clings to Vietnam in this moment of pain. In the firm conviction that it is necessary to remain united against terrorism, I express to you my most heartfelt sentiments of friendship.”
