Cultural events

Culture is an extraordinary mechanism of promoting Italy and its excellence as well as facilitating the meeting and understanding between our two peoples.
The current institutional framework of cultural relations is provided by a cultural cooperation agreement signed in Rome on 18 May 1990 on the basis of which every three years we sign Executive cultural cooperation programs detailing more in the specific the areas of activity.

The importance and the intensification of cultural relations is reflected in the numerous events offered by the Embassy, concerning the various aspects of artistic expression.
Since April 2013, “Casa Italia” (18, Le Phung Hieu) represents a center for the promotion of Italy in all its aspects: cultural, linguistic, industrial, food … This is an initiative of the Embassy organized in cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italian companies operating in Vietnam (Piaggio, Ghella, Ariston, C.A.E., Generali, Maserati, Barilla, Caffe’ Italia-VietIt Wines) and associations involved in the spread of Italian language and culture (Uni-Italia).

On the cultural and development cooperation front, it deserves to be remembered the Italian commitment in the Province of Quang Nam where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs contributes to the financing of an Italian archaeological mission of the Lerici Foundation, in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano, for the restoration of the magnificent site of My Son, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The project also includes a course for the training of specialized personnel in restructuring activities at archaeological sites, which takes place at the restoration school in Tam Ky.

The Embassy in Hanoi regularly organizes cultural events focused on the most varied topics (literature, music, art, fashion, design, science, etc.). If you wish to participate in these events or to receive more information about the Embassy’s cultural initiatives, please write to and you will be added to our mailing list!
