From 24th to 26th November the visit of Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sen. Benedetto Della Vedova took place in Vietnam. Underscretary Della Vedova chaired the Joint Economic Commission Italy-Vietnam and led the mission organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Economic Development, ICE – Italian Trade Agency, Confindustria, ABI, Enterprise Network Italy, Unioncamere, with the collaboration of the Italian Embassy in Vietnam.
The Joint Economic Commission and bilateral meetings that SS Della Vedova had with counterparts in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, provided occasion to examine priorities, areas of interest and instruments for collaboration in the next months.
As for the business mission, more than 65 companies, associations and banking groups, for a total of 120 Italian participants have traveled to Vietnam to strengthen business opportunities in various sectors, including that of mechanics/mechanical engineering, energy and renewable energies, medical and biomedical and infrastructure and connectivity and explore the investment opportunities offered by the 119 industrial parks in the country, attractive for concessional tax treatment and streamlined bureaucratic procedures. 400 B2B meetings took place and Italian participating entrepreneurs expressed a degree of satisfaction of 92.2 out of 100.
The success of the mission confirms the interest and relevance that the Italian government and companies increasingly attach to Vietnam, with a clear will to establish win win partnerships.
