Operational Suspension of the VIS System for the Processing and Issuance of Entry Visas
Please be informed that from 00:00 on 13 February 2026 until 06:00 on 18 February 2026, the VIS operating system will undergo a temporary operational shutdown.
This is a scheduled and urgent technical intervention that will result in the temporary suspension of activities related to the receipt and processing of visa applications, as well as the issuance of entry visas.
The suspension will affect the operations of both the Visa Office of the Embassy of Italy in Hanoi and the VFS visa application centers.
In order to minimize inconvenience to applicants, appointments that have already been scheduled will be rescheduled to the days immediately before or after the period affected by the operational shutdown, giving due consideration to priority needs and urgent cases.
