Beautiful concert of the “Mezzotono, Small Orchestra without Instruments” at “Casa Italia” last 16th of June: the event was part of “Y-Viet 2014”, the cultural programme of the Embassy in Hanoi. The “Mezzotono” ensamble is composed by five young Italian artists who perform just with their voices, with no use of musical instruments. The peculiar feature of this technique, so called “a cappella”, implies the human voices reproducing different instruments. According to the special kind of approach of the five interpreters, an unique atmosphere is created, encouraging audience to actively participate to the show, thus becoming part of the Orchestra itself.
The “Mezzotono” special repertoire represents a journey through a variety of different styles. It included some famous Italian songs, such as “Quando quando quando” (by Tony Renis), “Un uomo in frack” (by Domenico Modugno) and “Buonasera Signorina” (by Fred Buscaglione).
“Mezzotono” concert was sponsored by CMC Group of Ravenna.
