The Italian Embassy in Hanoi is delighted to present the “ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL 2020”, to be held at the National Cinema Center of Hanoi (87 Láng Hạ, Ba Đình) from the 13th to the 17th of November.

The Festival aims at offering to the Vietnamese public a glimpse on contemporary Italian cinema. It will feature 5 movies dealing with some of the most relevant themes in today’s Italian society, such as immigration, urban living conditions, family relationships and resilience in the face of difficulties.

The movies displayed in the Festival represent a distinctive trend in modern Italian cinema, where characters are portrayed with humanity and compassion, along with a touch of irony and sympathy, as we see them struggling to overcome difficulties in the pursuit of their personal happiness. Their inspiring stories invite the audience to look at contemporary societies from a different perspective and will eventually help us better understand the complexity of the times we are living.

Movies will be screened at the National Cinema Center as follows:

MAGARI – IF ONLY by Ginevra Elkann: 13th November

SOLE by Carlo Sironi: 14th November

BANGLA by Phaim Bhuiyan: 15th November

QUAFFER by Antonio Farisi: 16th November
