The Vietnamese universities and research system
Vietnam, one of the most dynamic emerging countries in East Asia region, is committed to the relations between high education investments, scientific research, innovation and industrial applications and offers several opportunities both on higher education and potential investments for Italian companies interested in new development possibilities. The state of art of research is articulate and interesting from a qualitative viewpoint. Moreover Vietnam is also increasing its competitiveness and it reached an adequate level to define common research project with Italy (in particular Nano and biotechnological sector). Vietnam also has a wide staff of researchers educated abroad in important and well known scientific institutions.
Italy is very esteemed and considered. These appreciations, if oriented in the proper way, can lead our higher education and research system towards interesting, and well considered by the Vietnamese counterparts, areas for applied research and industrial applications; in particular the agro-food industry, biotechnology and genomic, nanotechnology and mechanical and chemical engineering.
