The new article of the Italian Economic Diplomacy newsletter, entitled “Asia-Pacific: New Partnerships to Foster Export Growth, Strengthen Technological Cooperation, and Redesign Supply Chains”, edited by the Export Unit of the Directorate General for the Growth and Promotion of Exports of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is now available online.
The publication examines the growing role of East Asian and Pacific countries in the global economy, with particular attention to the ongoing transformations in international supply chains and in trade and production flows. In this context, the region emerges as an area of significant strategic interest for Italy, both as a destination market for exports and as a priority destination for the internationalization processes of the national production system.
Of particular interest is the Focus section entitled “Vietnam, the Engine of Southeast Asia Racing Toward the Future”, which provides a detailed overview of Italian exports and supplies to Vietnam, a country experiencing strong economic development and an increasingly important partner within the region. The section also includes an interview with the Ambassador of Italy to Vietnam, Marco della Seta.
