The Embassy of Italy in Hanoi is glad to present the workshop “Semiconductor and AI Collaboration Italy–Vietnam”, organized in collaboration with the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC) and scheduled to take place on Thursday, 29 May, at the Hoa Lac High-Tech Park in Hanoi.
The initiative aims to explore the potential for cooperation between Italy and Vietnam in the strategic fields of semiconductors and artificial intelligence, fostering dialogue among institutions, research centers, and innovative companies from both countries. In an international context increasingly focused on technological autonomy and supply chain resilience, the workshop seeks to promote industrial and scientific partnerships in the fields of advanced microelectronics and AI applications for industry.
A B2B matchmaking session will take place before the event. The workshop will be opened by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang, and by the Vice Minister of Finance of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam, as well as by the Ambassador of Italy to Vietnam, H.E. Mr. Marco della Seta. A technical session will follow, focusing on shared priorities in research and industrial application of emerging technologies, with contributions from academic and business experts from both countries.
The initiative is part of the broader strategy to strengthen the scientific and technological partnership between Italy and Vietnam, and will also celebrate the 8th Italian Research Day in Hanoi.
