The XXIV Week of the Italian Language in the World, dedicated this year to the topic \u201cL\u2019italiano e il libro: il mondo fra le righe\u201d<\/em>, will be celebrated in Hanoi from 11 to 20 October. The event, organised under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, boasts a rich program of events and initiatives organised in collaboration with the Department of Italian Studies of the University of Hanoi and Uni-Italia Vietnam and aimed at promoting the knowledge and dissemination of the Italian language in Vietnam.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, October 12th, starting at 9AM, Casa Italia will host the educational fair \u201cItalian Days on Higher Education – Study in Italy\u201d<\/em>, to present the academic opportunities offered by Italian universities. Vietnamese students interested in studying in Italy, as well as their parents, will be able to acquire valuable information directly from the representatives of the 14 Italian universities present at the fair.<\/p>\n

The opening ceremony of the XXIV Week of the Italian Language in the World will take place on Monday, October 14th, starting at 9AM, at the Department of Italian Studies of the University of Hanoi. The Ambassador of Italy to Vietnam, Marco della Seta, and the President of the University of Hanoi, Nguyen Van Trao, will deliver their speeches during the event.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Week of the Italian Language in the World will also provide the opportunity to present some new books by Italian authors now available in Vietnamese. Specifically, on Wednesday, October 16th, starting at 8:30AM, the Italian books translated as part of the \u201cCollection of Books of the Five Continents\u201d<\/em> project will be presented at the Department of Italian Studies of the University of Hanoi. On Sunday, October 20th, starting at 9AM, Casa Italia will host an event to present the books \u201cLucy, the first woman\u201d<\/em> and \u201cOtzi, the man who came from ice\u201d<\/em>, translated into Vietnamese thanks to contributions from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.<\/p>\n
