ENROLLMENT TO ITALIAN UNIVERSITIES FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS (ACADEMIC YEAR 2025-2026)<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

STEP 1:<\/strong> PRE-ENROLLMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n

We inform all students that pre-enrollment to Italian universities for the academic year 2025-2026 is now open. Foreign students must register on the website www.universitaly.it<\/a> and follow the instructions.<\/p>\n

Once the pre-enrollment confirmation message is received through the portal, the student can apply for a study visa at the Embassy. More information about study visas is available at Step 2 of this page.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

STEP 2:<\/strong> STUDY VISAS<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to apply for a study visa<\/strong> to Italy (which costs \u20ac50, to be paid in cash in VND at the exchange rate \u00a0valid at the time of the application), the following documentation must be submitted all together:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Visa application form D<\/a>;<\/li>\n
  2. Original passport and one photocopy (note that the passport must be valid for at least one year and 3 months<\/span> beyond the visa duration. It must have at least two consecutive blank pages for the visa and entry\/exit stamps);<\/li>\n
  3. Two recent color passport-sized photos (white background, 35 x 45 mm, taken within the last 6 months), one of which must be attached to the application form;<\/li>\n
  4. Copy of the pre-enrollment receipt obtained through the portal www.universitaly.it<\/a>, or other pre-enrollment documentation related to Institutions of Higher Artistic, Musical and Choreutic Education (AFAM), Higher Schools for Language Mediation (SSML), Institutes of Specialization in Psychotherapy, and Postgraduate Technical Specialization Courses organized by Higher Technical Institutes.;<\/li>\n
  5. Flight reservation and hotel reservation for the first days in Italy;<\/li>\n
  6. Health insurance for the first month of stay, with a minimum coverage of \u20ac30,000, valid in the Schengen area;<\/li>\n
  7. If required by the University, a declaration of value (to be requested at the Embassy) of the possessed academic title;<\/li>\n
  8. Evidence of adequate financial means to cover the cost of living in Italy (with a minimum amount not less than \u20ac534.41 per month, equivalent to \u20ac6,947.33 per year). Such means must be demonstrated through personal or family financial resources and cannot be substantiated by bank guarantees, surety bonds, cash, or financial support from third parties. The aforementioned amount may be subject to revision in the event of the actual award of a scholarship. The mere application for an Italian Government scholarship is not considered valid documentation of financial coverage;<\/li>\n
  9. Availability of the required amount for repatriation, which can also be demonstrated by presenting a return ticket;<\/li>\n
  10. Availability of suitable accommodation in Italy or a declaration of hospitality (click here<\/a> for the template);<\/li>\n
  11. If requested by the University, evidence of an adequate knowledge of the Italian language sufficient to undertake a course of study in Italian (at least B2 level);<\/li>\n
  12. In the case of enrollment in English-taught courses, an official certified documentation (TOEFL\/IELTS) or a Degree Certificate, indicating that the student graduated in English or that the Degree Course was attended in English-speaking countries.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    N.B.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The documentation must be submitted at least 15 days prior to departure. Any urgent situations must be adequately justified, and the Embassy reserves the right to assess them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The documentation required for the visa application, if written in Vietnamese, must be translated into Italian or English by a certified translator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Documents in Vietnamese to be used in Italy (e.g., for scholarship applications) must be legalized at the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam (40 Tran Phu, Ba Dinh, Hanoi) and translated into Italian by a certified translator.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Due to the autonomy of Italian educational institutions, each university independently sets its own registration timelines. However, visa applications must be submitted according to the following schedule:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    a) By no later than November 30, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u2022 Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree (two-year or single-cycle)
    \u2022 Individual academic courses
    \u2022 Courses from Institutions of Higher Artistic, Musical, and Choreutic Education (AFAM)
    \u2022 Courses from Higher Schools of Language Mediation (SSML)
    \u2022 International mobility programs (e.g., Erasmus, Marco Polo, and Turandot)
    \u2022 Courses offered by Institutes of Specialization in Psychotherapy<\/p>\n

    b) At any time of the year, aligned with the start of the chosen course<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \u2022 University Master’s Programs
    \n\u2022 Doctoral Programs
    \n\u2022 Specialization Schools, Italian Language and Culture Schools
    \n\u2022 Foundation Courses
    \n\u2022 Postgraduate Technical Specialization Courses organized by Higher Technical Institutes<\/p>\n
