VISAS TO ENTER ITALY

Starting from July 1st, 2019 it is possible to apply for short term (up to 90 days) Tourist and Business  Schengen Visas to Italy through VFS Global offices – 11th floor Ocean Park Building – 1 Dao Duy Anh – Ha Noi.

Beforehand: Preliminary Information

1.The applicant has to apply through the Embassy of the Country of his/her main destination (according to the purpose of the journey and/or the length of stay).

  1. We suggest you to visit the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation http://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/ where all the relevant information concerning visa issuance to Italy can be found.
  2. Check the validity period of your passport, which must expire at least three months after the requested visa’s expiration date. Also, ensure that the photo on the passport matches the person. The passport must have at least 2 blank pages for visa and stamps.
  3. Verify the desired departure date, keeping in mind that the processing time for a Schengen visa is up to 15 days, extendable, in certain cases, up to 45 days. Visa applications can be submitted up to 6 months in advance (9 months for seafarers in the performance of their duties) and no later than 15 days before the planned trip. It is the responsibility of the applicant to take necessary precautions to meet these deadlines. An application submitted less than 15 days before the departure date may be accepted, but there is a risk that the visa may not be issued in a timely manner.

Once you have checked all the above requirements, you can start preparing the visa documents.
