Candidature of Rome to host the EXPO 2030. Mission to Hanoi of Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Maria Tripodi (10-13 February 2023).

Italy presented to the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) the candidature of Rome to host the EXPO 2030.

The theme of the candidature is "People and territories: regeneration, inclusion and innovation". For its history, heritage, creativity, its links with culture and science, Rome represents the ideal place to launch a new urban model based on both innovation and sustainability, digital services and green spaces.

Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Maria Tripodi, visited Hanoi from 10 to 13 February 2023 in the framework of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Vietnam to promote Rome's candidacy.

On March 3, 2022 the Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri presented in Dubai the official logo of the candidature of Rome to host EXPO 2030.

For the first time in the history of EXPO, the logo is also a "Non-Fungible Token", a unique piece of digital art based on blockchain technology.
