Celebrating Italy's Contemporary Art Day in Hanoi

To mark the Italian Contemporary Art Day, the Italian Ambassador's Residence in Hanoi will open its doors to the public on Friday and Saturday next offering visitors an opportunity to admire the art collection the residence hosts.

The collection is composed of 25 works by 18 artists representing different art schools and movements: Carlo Bertocci, Claudio Bissattini, Cristina Brolli, Alex Caminiti, Bruno Ceccobelli, Sergio Ceccotti, Elvio Chiricozzi, Franco de Courten, Stefania Fabrizi, Omar Galliani, Laura Giulioni, Tommaso Massimi, Max Mazzoli, Elisa Montessori, Francesco Pagnini, Salvatore Pulvirenti, Salvatore Pupillo, Francesca Tulli. The works by many of these artists are part of the Farnesina Collection whose 20th anniversary is being celebrated these days.

The collection, which was curated by Massimo Scaringella, was inaugurated on October 10th and Sicilian-born Salvatore Pulvirenti was the guest of honor.

Vietnam and Italy have a growing cooperation in the field of contemporary art: an artist residence project is under way at the VICAS (Vietnam Institute of Art and Culture Studies) with the participation of media artist Irene Dorigotti.

The Italian Ambassador's Residence will be open to the public on Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.
