CONFERENCE “ENHANCING COMPREHENSIVE ASIA-EUROPE PARTNERSHIP IN THE 21ST CENTURY”

On 21st April Ambassador Cecilia Piccioni participated to the conference organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the year when we celebrate the 20th anniversary of the founding of ASEM and entitled “Enhancing comprehensive Asia-Europe partnership in the 21st century “.

An opportunity to make the point on challenges and opportunities ASEM is facing, starting from the important legacy of the Milan Summit in 2014 and looking forward to the next summit in Ulan Bator in July.

During her speech, the Ambassador took the opportunity to emphasize the watchwords at the base of the future ASEM process, to which Italy attaches particular importance: dialogue, inclusiveness and connectivity.

The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, several Ambassadors (EU Delegation, Belgium, China, the Philippines, Finland, India, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden) and representatives of the Diplomatic Corps.
